Locking Brass Extension Arms - our locking extension arms are designed to hold even very heavy shower heads like our giant 9" Country Club RainStorm Shower Head or the Giessdorf 8 Jet Shower Head. Since these arms lock into place, they must be loosened and re-tightened every time you move the shower head up or down. This should be done with the water turned off. We do not recommend this extension arm except for heavy shower heads or in cases where you will not be adjusting the height of the shower head often.
The above pictures show the internal locking cogs and the wingnut locking screw. To adjust the height of the extension arm you must: turn off water, loosen wingnut approximately 1/2 turn, move extension arm to desired height, re-tighten wingnut. Both of the joints are locking joints. When you raise or lower the shower head this will change the angle that the shower head sprays. You must also loosen the 2nd wingnut, adjust the angle of the shower head, and then re-tighten the wingnut.
While the locking brass extension arms are perfect for many customers, you may want to look at our washerless brass extension arms listed below. Pictured above are the 2 sizes of locking extension arms and the washerless brass extension arm (bottom ext. arm in photo). PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING THIS EXTENSION ARM - The wingnut is held in place by a stainless steel locking screw (see photo above.) This prevents the wingnut from being backed off more than 1 turn. If you try to force the wingnut to back off further than is necessary, it is possible to exert enough force and break this screw. NEVER force the wingnut further than it what easily backs off to. The locking mechanism is designed this way so that the wingnut cannot be backed off too far and the extension arm cannot come apart when simply raising and lowering the shower head. Arc Locking Brass Extension Arms - the latest design in our locking type extension arms. Gracefully curved shower head extension arms that hold almost any shower head without drooping. Like our standard locking extension arms, the Arc arms lock into place. They must be loosened and re-tightened every time you move the shower head up or down. This should be done with the water turned off. We do not recommend this extension arm except for heavy shower heads or in cases where you will not be adjusting the height of the shower head often.
The Arc Locking Shower Head Extension Arm is easily installed on your standard 1/2" shower pipe or a pipe nipple. Simple unscrew the locking collar and remove the splined fitting. Wrap your shower pipe or pipe nipple with 5 or more wraps of Teflon plumbers tape and hand tighten the splined fitting. Do not use tools. The Arc arm is then easily secured to the splined fitting with the locking collar, again without tools.

8" & 10" Adjustable Washerless Brass Extension Arms
(Shower heads not included.) O-Ring Brass Extension Arms - designed to get tighter than most extension arms so they can hold a heavier shower head* without drooping or leaking. Easily raise or lower your new or existing shower head. If you need more extension, look at the double extension arms listed further down this page.
Most adjustable extension arms currently being sold have internal fiber washers as shown in the above photo (right photo). These extension arms are okay for lightweight shower heads and light usage but cannot be used with heavier shower heads. The fiber washers get compressed and wear out with use. Before long they are leaking and can't be tightened enough to stop them from drooping. Our washerless brass extension arms have no internal washers, only common o-ring seals. The more you tighten the wingnut, the tighter the joint gets. Double Brass Extension Arms
Double Brass Extension Arms - perfect when a single extension arm isn't enough. These brass extension arms (shower head not included) feature washerless joints (no friction washers) that get tighter than washered extension arm joints. The joints use common o-rings to prevent water from leaking out. They are suitable for shower heads up to approximately 2 pounds*. The arms are 9" each for a total of 18" of extension. Adjust your shower head up, down or out. Perfect for everyone in the family from the tallest to the shortest. 10" Adjustable Heavy Brass Tri-Star Extension Arms
Brass Extension Arms - quickly and easily raise your existing shower head up to 10 inches higher than it's current height, then immediately drop it down up to 10 inches, almost 3 feet of adjustment. These heavy duty, solid brass extension arms come in a 10 inch or 15 inch length and will work with any shower head up to approximately 1.5 lbs* in weight. They feature our exclusive tri-star tightening nuts with the extra large joints for trouble free service. (*Not suitable for the following shower heads: Giessdorf 8 Jet, 10" SoftJet Euro, 9" Country Club RainStorm, Luxury, Can Style, or Aussies with extensions. Use a soft cloth over the tri-star nut and hand tighten firmly. The larger the head and the longer the extension arm, the tighter the nut has to be. The above picture shows the difference in joint and washer size between the heavy brass extension arms and the standard weight extension arms listed below. Because of the larger joints, the main friction washer has over twice the surface area allowing for a tighter grip and less wear. The brass tube is also thicker gauge. 'S' Riser Pipes
Brass 'S' Pipe - You may want to simply unscrew your old shower head and screw your new shower head right onto your existing shower pipe, not a problem. Or you may want to raise your shower head up 8 inches or 10 inches by replacing your old shower pipe with a new brass 'S' Riser Pipe. Comes with escutcheon. Standard 1/2" pipe thread on both ends. Perfect for even the heaviest shower heads.

Hi-Rise Shower Arm - Gracefully curved shower head arms to raise and extend your oversized shower head out into your showering area. These brass arms are standard 1/2" threading and come with a pipe nipple and matching escutcheon. They measure approximately 17 1/2" high. (Please note: you must have a minimum of 18" of clearance in a full circle around your water outlet in order to install a Hi-Rise arm.) When installed, the pipe outlet is approximately 17" away from the wall and 8" higher than the wall outlet. All of our shower heads have swivel joints on them so they can be tilted in any direction. Keep in mind that this long of an arm has a lot of leverage. Caution should be used when installing a heavy shower head (such as our 9" Country Club RainStorm Shower Head) on to the Hi-Rise. The combination of the weight and someone pulling on the heavy shower head for any reason may bend the pipe.
