Our autopilot is under our aft cabin bed attached directly to the top of our rudder post.
The motor has a worm drive that moves a rod back and forth.
Installed and tested in 1985. Still works fine, but Sharp is out of business so not much available in parts anymore.
New ComPilot ordered at 2005 Strictly Sail boat show to replace old Sharp unit.
