New Year's Eve 1988 we set sail from San Diego headed to Turtle Bay. Weather is chilly so we all end up sleeping or reading down where it's a warm. We do have one visitor on the way, a playful sea lion.

Ana on watch Steve catching a few zzzz's. A playful friend,

Did a little sightseeing and then headed south for warmer weather. Someone turned the switch around Mag Bay and off came the jackets and on went the t-shirts and shorts.

Didn't hang around Cabo long either. Had to have a drink at the Giggling Marlin though before heading up into the Sea. Tom decided it was time to start working on his tan before working our way to La Paz.

We make it to Cabo San Lucas and anchor in the inner harbor. Tom relaxes at Cabo Pulmo. Ana and Marc enjoy the sun at Cabo Pulmo. Ana and Marc learn to walk on a rocky beach at Las Frailes. Ana likes the beach better at Los Muertos. We're getting better at landing the dinghy without getting wet.

We anchored in Calida Partida, Las Frailes and Isla San Francisco. This was more like it! The water was chilly but swimable when the day warmed up. A whale swims under the boat. Steve tries to find it with the toy dinghy while Tom looks out from the spreader.

A small whale swims liesurely under the No Worries. Steve tries 'cold water' snorkeling. Tom looks for the whale.

We do catch a few fish, find some clams and get an octopus.

We get an octopus but decide to let him go. We did find some clams. Marc gets ready to spear dinner. I think we ate canned beans that night. We found out that skate is not good eating. Steve hooks into one. A bonita, This one is better, a dorado.

It rained one night and the fresh rainwater in the black-bottomed dinghy warmed up to a very comfortable bath temperature.

Steve takes a freshwater bath.

Time for Obie to fly home from La Paz.

Obie and his luggage on the way to the airport.

We headed straight over to Topolabampo from La Paz and spend a week or so at Ana's dad's house in Cd. Obregon.

Tom keeps working on that tan.

Next stop is San Blas. Had to hike up to the old Spanish fort and church.

Spanish fort. Old Spanish church. Spanish fort. Ana repels pirates. The pirate surrenders.

Another San Blas 'must do', the jungle boat ride. We head out with another cruising couple, Phil and Suzy.

Jungle boat ride in San Blas. Cool, refreshing water. Maybe the cleanest freash water in Mexico.

Puerto Vallarta. We anchored out from the docks.

No Worries anchored in Puerto Vallarta. No Worries anchored in Puerto Vallarta. Landing on the dinghy dock. Tom and Steve on dock in Puerto Vallarta.

No Worries was hauled in PV for a bottom paint. We stayed at a hotel while the work was being done.

PV hotel. Removing the forestay with furling jib. Hauling No Worries. Hauling No Worries. A few days at Dave and Lynns condo in PV.

Time to leave Mexico and head for French Polynesia.
