New Year's Eve 1988 we set sail from San Diego headed to Turtle Bay. Weather is chilly so we all end up sleeping or reading down where it's a warm. We do have one visitor on the way, a playful sea lion.
Did a little sightseeing and then headed south for warmer weather. Someone turned the switch around Mag Bay and off came the jackets and on went the t-shirts and shorts.
Didn't hang around Cabo long either. Had to have a drink at the Giggling Marlin though before heading up into the Sea. Tom decided it was time to start working on his tan before working our way to La Paz.
We anchored in Calida Partida, Las Frailes and Isla San Francisco. This was more like it! The water was chilly but swimable when the day warmed up. A whale swims under the boat. Steve tries to find it with the toy dinghy while Tom looks out from the spreader.
We do catch a few fish, find some clams and get an octopus.
It rained one night and the fresh rainwater in the black-bottomed dinghy warmed up to a very comfortable bath temperature.
Time for Obie to fly home from La Paz.
We headed straight over to Topolabampo from La Paz and spend a week or so at Ana's dad's house in Cd. Obregon.
Next stop is San Blas. Had to hike up to the old Spanish fort and church.
Another San Blas 'must do', the jungle boat ride. We head out with another cruising couple, Phil and Suzy.
Puerto Vallarta. We anchored out from the docks.
No Worries was hauled in PV for a bottom paint. We stayed at a hotel while the work was being done.
Time to leave Mexico and head for French Polynesia.
