Lanai was our favorite stop in Hawaii. The best beach with deep white sand and great snorkeling. Quiet and peaceful most of the time, although the tourist day boats do come in during the day. The big hotel on the beach was still under construction so no tourists except what the day boats brought over.
Spent many hours beachcombing and digging for shells and reading in the hammocks on shore.
As usual, we met some really wonderful cruisers and local residents.
Every evening after the Trilogy tourist boats left, they gave us the leftovers from their lunch. We did eventually get tired of 'Trilogy Chicken and Peas' but it seems the wild turkeys never did. On many evenings we would sit around and be entertained by some of the local talent.
